# Business Continuity Planning (BCP)
Business Continuity Planning (BCP) is a process that identifies all critical functions, services and activities that must be accomplished to enable an organisation or a functional area to continue its business functions during a time of disaster or serious disruption (e.g. power outages, natural disasters, accidents, acts of sabotage or other incidents). The overall scope of Business Continuity Management covers the Disaster Recovery Plans that are dedicated to the recovery of ICT systems and activities in cases of major disruptions.
