# Change and Configuration Management ## PM2-Agile Guide Glossary Change and Configuration Management (also known as Software Change and Configuration Management (SCCM)) combines aspects of both change management and Configuration Management to control a software development project as it evolves through the software development process. SCCM typically includes all technical aspects of the development process, such as version control, branching and merging. Additionally, SCCM includes change-related activities such as issue tracking, document tracking, and process workflows that enable development teams to control the overall process.
